Celebrating community and connection ahead of Superbooth 2025

Neumann Night at the headquarters in Berlin

Back

Berlin, May 08, 2025 – On the eve of Superbooth 2025, Neumann opened the doors of their global headquarters for an evening of live music, hands-on product demonstrations, and community celebration. From Boston to Berlin, a mixture of artists, engineers, product designers, developers, marketers, and more came together to share their passion for audio innovation. Neumann made one thing clear: this evening was about making and celebrating genuine connections across the space of music technology.

As the pre-Superbooth buzz filled the air and the sun set over the Neumann rooftop garden, guests tucked in to an array of Jamaican fusion nibbles, sweet treats, and a flowing open bar. Neumann CEO Yasmine Riechers welcomed attendees with a warm opening speech, underscoring the importance of human connection in a rapidly evolving industry:

"We are excited to welcome you all to Neumann Night! It fills us with pride to see over 270 artists from various cultures and regions coming together to celebrate and connect with one another.
When people meet, new possibilities can emerge. Just like the individual parts of a signal chain, we are all interconnected and rely on each other. Let us inspire each other’s growth and forge new connections that will shape the future of sound."

The evening was soundtracked by a captivating performance from audio/visual producer Rick Feds and a vibrant DJ set from Femalemacho, both powered by a heavyweight combination of Neumann’s KH 420 monitors and KH 870 subwoofers. Throughout the evening, guests had the chance to explore Neumann’s latest and greatest advances in monitoring and spatial audio.

In one of the evening’s most talked-about demonstrations, attendees stepped into a glass-walled room equipped with Neumann’s KH 120 II monitors and MT 48 audio interface. This untreated environment became a powerful stage for Neumann’s MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system, which instantly adapted the monitors to turn a highly reflective space into a balanced and precise listening environment at the flick of a switch.

In a dedicated listening booth upstairs, guests experienced RIME (Reference Immersive Monitoring Environment), Neumann’s breakthrough in immersive headphone monitoring. Developed using Neumann’s own reference studio and powered by AMBEO spatial algorithms, RIME recreates a full 3D mixing environment through the NDH 30 headphones – delivering pinpoint localization, depth, and sonic accuracy without the need for multi-speaker setups.

While the evening wasn’t centered around formal product launches, it offered a valuable opportunity for hands-on listening and exploration. Attendees were also treated to a visual journey through Neumann’s rich legacy, with a curated display of some of the brand’s most iconic and rare microphones – celebrating nearly a century of excellence in sound.

After a quick scan of the Neumann Tidal playlist to soundtrack the journey home, attendees left inspired and excited for three days of Superbooth festivities, ready to dive into workshops, demonstrations, product reveals, talks, and networking deep in the FEZ forest.
